WHAT TO WEAR ON A JOB INTERVIEW

Prepararsi in anticipo vi aiuter? a fare un figurone, ed il look giusto potrebbe anche conferirvi quel pizzico di sicurezza e confidenza in pi? che potrebbe farvi ottenere il posto.

Proprio per questo, il primo consiglio che mi sento di darvi ? di vestirvi come voi stessi, non come qualcun altro. Non dovete indossare una divisa, non dovete sembrare uguali agli altri, ma dovete distinguervi (nel senso pi? positivo del termine) e, soprattutto, dovete sentirvi a vostro agio.

Da dove cominciare??Pantaloni, giacca e una camicia fresca di bucato sono una soluzione classica e che funziona sempre. La giacca ? sinonimo di autorevolezza, professionalit?, comunica al mondo ?Io faccio sul serio?, ed ? quindi forse il pezzo principale di ogni outfit ben riuscito: sceglietene una con un dettaglio insolito, interessante, o magari un motivo grafico e discreto.?
Se dovete ?creare? voi il vostro completo, cercate di non mischiare stoffe diverse che sia lana, cotone, seta, velluto, suede, puntate su un solo tipo di tessuto, che contribuir? a dare maggiore coerenza e credibilit? al vostro look.

State ovviamente lontane da colori troppo accesi e fantasie spregiudicate che distolgano l?attenzione dell?interlocutore da ci? che dite, cos? come sono da evitare scollature troppo profonde, orli troppo corti e accessori troppo vistosi: come ha detto saggiamente Nina Garcia??Una donna che lavora non batte mai la fiacca; ma nemmeno il marciapiede, se ? per questo?. Se siete abbastanza audaci, potreste anche tentare e sbizzarrirvi con colori e stampe pi? vivaci, ma tenete in considerazione che non sapete chi vi troverete di fronte, e che magari potrebbe non gradire o non avere i vostri stessi gusti in fatto di moda. Utilizzate invece gli accessori per spezzare la monotonia di un completo altrimenti banale: un foulard, per esempio, ? perfetto se volete dare un tocco di colore al vostro outfit, mentre l?orologio ? assolutamente un must, in quanto da l?idea di una persona puntuale e precisa ? caratteristiche che sicuramente il vostro esaminatore sta ricercando.?
Indossate qualcosa che vi faccia sentire favolose e sicure di voi stesse: le scarpe alte slanciano la figura e vi aiuteranno a mantenere una posizione eretta, mentre una borsa organizzata ? in cui non ? necessario scavare tra fazzoletti, rossetti e chiavi di casa per cercare una penna ? ? sicuramente un ottimo segnale da lanciare.

Lasciate che siano i dettagli a parlare per voi: potete scegliere un favoloso cappotto stampato abbinato a gioielli grintosi, una splendida cappa e parure di perle, una spilla antica o il bracciale di vostra nonna, qualcosa che dica chi siate e che trasmetta la vostra personalit? in maniera sussurrata. COLORS THAT WORK?
In therms of colors, it very much depends on the job you are applying for, but if in doubt, I feel I can advise you to stay on the classics: black, gray, navy, camel, ivory. Gray is considered the color of business for excellence, because it conveys a message of strength, wisdom and reliability – while navy blue is very suitable to the field of finance and law. Stay away from brown – that suggests a ??sloppy, outdated and patsy person – and orange, which according to statistics is absolutely the less recommended for such situations as it gives an idea of ??lack of professionalism.

Black is the safest choice for a position as a manager: it transmits power and authority. In contrast with white, then, it makes very well the idea of ??a confident person (while a reduced contrast between two colors, such as a ton sur ton, will make you look more friendly and helpful). Red conveys these messages too, but in a negative way: it might belong to a predominant person, a rebel one or a troublemaker (red is the color of danger), so use it sparingly.

If you want to look polite and reliable, go for green; choose something in a delicate shade of yellow instead to communicate ??positivity and optimism.?

Per quanto riguarda i colori, dipende molto dal lavoro per cui vi proponete ma, nel dubbio, mi sentirei di consigliarvi di rimanere sui classici: nero, grigio, blu navy, cammello, avorio. Il grigio ? considerato il colore del business per eccellenza, perch? veicola un messaggio di solidit?, saggezza ed affidabilit?, mentre il blu navy ? molto adatto al campo della finanza e della giurisprudenza. State invece lontane nella maniera pi? assoluta dal marrone ? che d? un?idea di sciatto, fuori moda e sempliciotto ? e l?arancione, che secondo le statistiche ? in assoluto il colore meno ben visto per questo tipo di situazioni in quanto d? un?idea di poca professionalit?.
Il nero ? la scelta pi? sicura per una posizione da manager: trasmette potere e autorit?. In contrasto con il bianco, poi, rende benissimo l?idea di una persona sicura di s? (mentre un contrasto ridotto tra due colori, ad esempio un ton sur ton, vi far? sembrare pi? amichevoli e disponibili). Anche il rosso veicola questi messaggi, ma in maniera negativa: pu? suggerire una persona predominante, ribelle e piantagrane (il rosso ? il colore del pericolo), quindi utilizzatelo con parsimonia.
Se volete risultare alla mano, educate e affidabili, puntate sul verde; scegliete invece qualcosa in una sfumatura delicata del giallo per trasmettere un?idea di positivit? ed ottimismo.

If you apply for a position in the arts, you can dare with purple: it is the color that symbolizes creativity, imagination and uniqueness – while in this case would not recommend wearing blue – it could be considered too conservative.

Obviously, what you wear is just a small part of the picture, so make sure your very pulled together and polished: get a good manicure (hands are always into the foreground!), clean hair and preferably up (so as to avoid playing with it or having to adjust the forelock every five minutes while speaking) and a perfume which is not too intense. Resist the temptation to apply too much makeup on: you might alkso be the greates makeup artist in the world, but heavy foundation, glitters and eyeliner ? la Amy Winehouse work better on a Saturday night! Especially if the examiner is a woman, she will be a strict judge on that! You do not have to loo vulgar, but fresh and radiant!

If you applied in the industry of fashion – for a major company rather than a magazine of the field – proven to know the trends and be passionate about fashion without being slaves of it. Select a seasonal trend and stick to that, not to look like a desperate fashion victims; incorporate it into your look with the dress, the coat or the accessories in a natural wayh which is compatible with your style, as if you were healthy carriers of good taste.
