WHAT MEN WANT
What do men want?
I often wonder it – when I talk to them, when I meet them, when I see them turning their to look at a girl on the street, when I read their status on Facebook; psychology has always fascinated me, and I find that the masculine one is even more intriguing because I find it has primordiality, a linearity and a simplicity unrelated to that of a woman.
I think I know men well enough, I can sense their desires, their wishes and their thoughts easily enough, but sometimes they still floor me: why do they share photos of Kim Kardashian and Rihanna on social media and then get engaged to Great Mouse Detective’s cousin? Why you seem at the club dancing like a a savage tribe around the Barbies and then on the street they’re hand in hand with Plain Jane? What is the difference between what turns a man on and what seduces him?
Let’s be honest: to transform men into swine you don’t need Circe the enchantress; but to make them fall in love, that’s another story.
And then, women – that lovely multicolored mess that abundantly populate our world. I happen to see some girls on the street dressed like peep show performers, with the length of their skirts inversely proportional to those of their extensions, fluorescent earrings matching the plateaux, minidresses which aren’t “see-through” but just “see” and I wonder: do them men really like this stuff?
So I took inspirationg from a famous film asking myself: “What do men really want”? And then, instead of puzzling and looking for a pseudo-philosophical answer, I decided to ask directly to them: because if understand women is not easy, to guess what goes on in the head of a boy is just as challenging.
In this post I wanted to put aside the feminism and – just for fun and curiosity – I interviewed 100 men asking them what are the things they love most on a woman and which ones can not stand.
And the results may surprise you.
COSA VOGLIONO GLI UOMINI
Che cosa vogliono gli uomini?
Me lo domando spesso: quando ci parlo, quando li incontro, quando li vedo girarsi a guardare una ragazza per strada, quando leggo i loro stati su Facebook; la psicologia mi ha sempre affascinata, quella maschile ancora di pi? perch? trovo abbia una primordialit?, una linearit? ed una semplicit? estranee a quella della donna.
Penso di conoscere abbastanza gli uomini, di essermene fatta un quadro abbastanza preciso. Intuisco le loro voglie, i loro desideri, i loro pensieri abbastanza facilmente, ma certe volte ancora mi spiazzano: perch? sui social media condividono foto diKim Kardashian e Rihanna e poi si fidanzano con la cugina di Basil l?investigatopo? Perch? in discoteca si mettono a ballare come una trib? di indigeni attorno alla Barbie di turno, e poi per strada li vedi mano nella mano con Sbirulino? Che differenza c?? tra quello che eccita un uomo e quello che lo seduce? In fondo, siamo onesti: per trasformare gli uomini in porci non serve mica la maga Circe; ma farli innamorare, quello ? un altro paio di maniche.
E poi, le donne, quell?adorabile caos multicolore che popola abbondantemente il nostro mondo. Mi capita di vedere certe ragazze conciate per strada come veline, con la lunghezza delle minigonne inversamente proporzionale a quelle delle extension, orecchini dai colori fluo abbinate ai plateaux, minidress decisamente pi? vedo che non-vedo e mi chiedo: ma agli uomini piace davvero questa roba?
Cos?, ho preso spunto da un famosissimo film domandomi: ?Ma che cosa vogliono gli uomini?? E invece di scervellarmi alla ricerca di una risposta pseudo-filosofica, ho pensato di chiederlo direttamente a loro, i diritti interessati: perch? se capire le donne non ? facile, intuire quello che passa nella testa di un maschio ? altrettanto faticoso.
In questo post ho voluto mettere da parte il femminismo e, per curiosit? e divertimento, ho intervistato 100 uomini chiedendo loro quali sono le cose che amano di pi? addosso ad una donna e quali invece non sopportano.
E il risultato forse vi sorprender?.
Ecco a voi le 5 cose che gli uomini amano (e quelle che odiano) vedere indossate dalle donne.
5. THIGH HIGHS/ autoreggenti
Surprise, surprise! Lingerie items are only last in place among the favorite things of men, but they still made it to the top five.
All the boys said they hate the visible underwear – read peeking thongs, bras worn as tops , bustiers and so on. A beautiful lingerie is always nice, but they prefer that you keep it for them in the bedroom.
If you really want to send him into raptures, you know that a pair of thigh highs makes him more or less the same effect as three packs of Multicentrum altogether.
They also love very opaque black stockings and – ?a va sans dire – they hate the flesh-colored ones.
Sorpresa, sorpresa! I capi di intimo sono solamente all?ultimo posto tra le cose preferite dagli uomini, ma rientrano comunque nella top five.
Tutti i ragazzi hanno detto che odiano l?intimo a vista, come perizomi che sbucano, reggiseni indossati come top, bustini e via dicendo. Insomma, una bella lingerie fa sempre piacere, ma preferiscono che la riserviate per loro in camera da letto.
Se proprio volete mandare in visibilio il vostro lui, sappiate che un paio di autoreggenti gli fa pi? o meno lo stesso effetto di tre confezioni di Supradyn mandate gi? una dopo l?altra.
Amatissime anche le calze nere molto coprenti mentre ? ?a va sans dire ? detestano quelle color carne.
4. JEANS
In fourth place we find our dear, old jeans, but beware: the boys have a clear idea on the model that they like – which should be simple and slim.
They don’t seem to be very into the high-waisted, the flared ones, those with a dirt or ripped effect – in short, all other types of jeans – and in Summer denim shorts are appreciated too.?
Generally speakin, the word that has come out the most from my interviews is: simplicity. Men want a polished woman, not a loud one. And if they’re looking at a flashy chick – take it from me – they’re not thinking about get married with her.
In quarta posizione troviamo il nostro caro, vecchio jeans, ma attenzione: i maschietti hanno un?idea ben precisa sul modello che gli piace, che deve essere semplice e stretto. Non sopportano invece quelli a vita alta, quelli a zampa d?elefante, quelli effetto sporco o strappati ? insomma, tutti gli altri tipi di jeans – mentre d?estate vanno benissimo gli shorts.
In generale, la parola che ? pi? ? venuta fuori da queste mie interviste ?: semplicit?. Gli uomini vogliono una donna s? curata, ma non troppo appariscente. Magari una tipa del genere la guardano in discoteca o per strada ma, fidatevi, quello a cui stanno pensando non ? che vogliono sposarsela.
3. LITTLE BLACK DRESS/ tubino nero
Dangerous curves: be it a woman or a motorcycle, they give to men that adrenaline rush.
A dress that caresses the body and highlights the body shapes is one of the sexiest things according to the boys – of which mostly reported to love a classic little black dress .
But how on Earth should this little black dress be? Fit and snug, that follows the shapes, but not not too short or revealing: even a turtleneck can be alluring and mysterious, especially if it’s open on the back. Oh, and they prefer it combined with dark stockings, too!
Here again, it seems they seem to know what they want very well.

Un abito che accarezzi il corpo e metta in risalto la sinuosit? ? tra le cose pi? sexy che ci sia secondo i maschietti, ed infatti molti degli uomini che ho intervistato hanno detto che amano il classico e sempreverde tubino nero.
Ma come deve essere questo benedetto tubino nero? Aderente e fasciante, che lasci intravedere le forme, non per forza corto o scollato: anche uno collo tondo o alto pu? essere seducente e misterioso, soprattutto se lascia la schiena scoperta. Ah, e lo preferiscono abbinato ad una calza scura.
Anche su questo, sembra che abbiano le idee pi? chiare di noi.
2. SHIRT + SUIT/ camicia e tailleur
This is probably one of the results that surprised me most: suit and shirt are among boys’ favorite garments, followed by pencil skirts and well-cut trousers.
It seems that the ideal girl is a business woman wearing who wears ethereal blouses and high fashion pants in neutral colors – it seems this make them lose their mind much more than a miniskirt. Would you have ever said that?
Questo risultato ? forse uno di quelli che mi ha sorpreso di pi?: giacca e camicia sono tra gli indumenti preferiti dai maschietti, seguiti a ruota da longuette e pantaloni classici di buon taglio.
Insomma, la donna ideale ? una donna in carriera che indossa camicette impalpabili e pantaloni di ottima foggia dai colori neutri, che a quanto pare riescono a far perdere la testa ai ragazzi molto pi? di una minigonna.

1.HIGH HEELS/ tacchi alti
Heels, heels, heels! 90% of respondents agree on this: heels are the ultimate weapon of seduction.
Men are fetishists – even those who don’t know they aret – and the foot is one of the parts they consider the most erotic in a woman’s body. In pole position there’s the classic court shoe with high heels and no plateau. Ankle straps are really liked too, as they accentuate a tapered leg.
Now you have another good reason to buy a new pair of shoes!
Tacchi, tacchi, tacchi! Su questo, il 90% degli intervistati ? d?accordo: i tacchi sono l?arma di seduzione definitiva.
Gli uomini sono feticisti – anche quelli che non sanno di esserlo – ed il piede ? una delle zone che reputano pi? erotiche nel corpo di una donna. In pole position troviamo le d?collet? classiche, col tacco a spillo (che adesso si chiama stiletto perch? fa pi? figo) e senza plateau.
Molto apprezzati anche i cinturini, che mettono in risalto la caviglia.
