September is by far one of my favorite months: I like the atmosphere of change and renewal that comes with it, those fresh air days, the scent of autumn, the foliage of trees and the colors and smells that get warmer, boots, candles, melancholy summer rains. Furthermore, this year – ?with my trip to New York and participation at NYFW – it was an even more extraordinary month than usual!
So here we are with one of my favorite appointments, the beauty products that I used the most and the best one I preferred this past month. Many of them I have known and tested precisely in New York, and if you like I could do a haul post dedicated to all the little things I bought in America!?

Settembre ? in assoluto uno dei miei mesi preferiti: mi piace quell?aria di cambiamento e rinnovo che porta con s?, quelle giornate pi? fresche, il sentore di autunno, il foliage degli alberi che cambiano il loro manto, i colori e gli odori pi? caldi, gli stivaletti, le candele, le malinconiche piogge estive. Eccoci quindi con uno dei miei appunti preferiti, i prodotti beauty che usato maggiormente e con maggiore soddisfazione questo mese. Molti di loro li ho conosciuti e messi alla prova proprio a New York, e se vi fa piacere prossimamente potrei fare un post haul dedicato interamente a tutte le cosine che ho comprato in America!?

COLOR?238 ? “JE T?AIME”

Let’s start by talking about this amazing lipstick by Marc Jacobs Beauty – one of my favorite brands in terms of luxe makeup. The color I have is No. 238 “Je t’aime” and find it perfect for fall, because it is a dark and bright pink with slight marsala undertones. Payoff is amazing with just one layer, the consistency feels very comfortable on the lips – not too dry nor too creamy – but the thing that amazed me the most is the longevity: with this lipstick you can talk, eat, drink, smoke, kiss – do whatever you want really – and it resists at least 5 hours intact and perfect without smearing or losing intensity!
There?scocoa butter and meranti in the formula – which moisturize your lips – and the finish is nicely satin, wich gets a little more opaque after few hours. In addition, the color never really disappears once its gone, but still leaves a slight tint on the lips. I had never tried this line of lipsticks, but I find them really extraordinary and I think I will definitely but some others! Cominciamo col parlare di questo fantastico rossetto di Marc Jacobs Beauty, uno dei miei marchi preferiti in termini di luxury beauty. Il colore che ho io ? il n? 238 ?Je t?aime? e lo trovo perfetto per l?autunno, perch? si tratta di un rosa scuro e brillante che tende leggermente al marsala. Il colore ? pieno alla prima passata, la consistenze confortevole sulle labbra ? n? troppo secca n? troppo cremosa ? ma la cosa che mi ha sconvolto di pi? ? la tenuta: con questo rossetto potete parlare, mangiare, bere, fumare, baciare, fare quello che vi pare, e resiste almeno 5 ore intatto e perfetto senza sbavare o senza perdere intensit?. Al suo interno troviamo burro di meranti – che idrata le labbra a lungo -e il finish ? piacevolmente satinato, che diventa un po? pi? opaco con il passare delle ore. Inoltre, la formula permette al rossetto di non sparire del tutto e in maniera brutale, ma di lasciare comunque un leggero effetto tinta sulle labbra. Non avevo mai provato i rossetti di questa linea, ma li trovo davvero straordinari e penso proprio che ne prender? altri! There are few products that amaze me and give me the impression of really doing something for my skin from the very first application, and this is one of those. When I was at Sephora in New York I asked one of the employees – that are very kind and really experienced – a product that he thought I should absolutely buy, and he suggested me to take this. It is a serum that aims to increase the firmness of the face and reduce wrinkles with extracts of black pine and 8 different active ingredients – including the hexapeptide 11 which is good to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin.?
It is made without parabens and sulfates with a 93.7% natural formula, and I swear you just need a few drops of this serum before going to sleep to wake up with skin that will make you say “WOW!” ?in the morning! The grain of the face is now more even, smooth, radiant and perfect from the very first use, and it even helped me with my pimples.

This is not a particularly moisturizing formula, so I recommend using it in conjunction with a day cream, but I assure you that this is one of the best products I’ve ever tried, and it?s worth every single penny!?

Sono pochi quei prodotti che mi stupiscono e mi danno l?impressione di fare realmente qualcosa fin dalla prima applicazione, e questo ? uno di quelli. Quando ero da Sephora a New York ho chiesto a uno dei commessi ? che l? sono gentilissimi e veramente preparati ? un prodotto che secondo lui non avrei potuto fare a meno di comprare, e lui mi ha consigliato questo. Si tratta di un siero che mira ad incrementare la compattezza del viso ed attenuare le rughe con estratti di pino nero e 8 diversi principi attivi (tra cui l?esapeptide 11 che serve a stimolare la produzione di collagene ed elastina). Realizzato senza parabeni e solfati con una formula naturale al 93,7 %, vi assicuro che di questo siero ne bastano poche gocce prima di andare a dormire per risvegliarvi con una pelle che vi far? esclamare ?WOW!? il mattino seguente. La grana del viso ? subito pi? uniforme, levigata, radiosa e perfetta fin dal primo utilizzo, e a me ha addirittura aiutato ad attenuare i grani di miglio!

Non si tratta di una formula particolarmente idratante, quindi consiglio di utilizzarlo in congiunzione con una crema da giorno, ma vi assicuro che questo ? uno dei migliori prodotti che abbia mai provato e vale fino all?ultimo centesimo!?

Among the many things I discovered in America and I wish there were even here in Italy – besides Starbucks, of course – there’s Bath & Body Works, a great company of toiletries (but not only that, they also have wonderful candles and stuff like that) similar in concept to The Body Shop. I swear I could spend hours ?and hours in there, trying all of their items, lost among the hundreds of scents they have, and I would have bought everything had not already exceeded the maximum baggage allowance (the air policies are spoilsport!).?
My friend Barbara had already given me a beautiful body cream this summer, the Japanese Cherry Blossom one which smells divine, but is only entering into one of the flagship store that you can have a revelation like St. Paul on the road to Damascus! There are over fifty, and say FIFTY different fragrances to choose from: from the sweet ones to the spicy ones, from the fresh and cool (like Limoncello) to the more flowery and feminine. It is really impossible not to find one that you like! I chose for me Honeysuckle Amore that smells like fresh and fruity peaches and honeysuckle. The thing I like the most about these body lotions is that they absorb quickly, but at the same time they are very moisturizing and velvety because they contain shea butter and jojoba oil, in addition to various vitamins and properties according to the type that you choose. Fragrances are delicate and persistent, not at all annoying on the skin, and there?s always super affordable offers and discounts like 3 x 2.?
If you have the opportunity to try articles from this line, I highly recommend them all because they are fantastic, and I might probably do a giant order from their website! : D

Tra le tante cose che ho scoperto in America e vorrei ci fossero anche qui in Italia – oltre Starbucks, ovviamente – c?? Bath & BodyWorks, una grandissima compagnia di articoli da bagno (ma non solo, hanno anche delle candele meravigliose ed altre cosine carine) simile a The Body Shop. Vi giuro che potrei passare ore l? dentro, a provare tutti i loro articoli, perdermi tra le centinaia di profumazioni che hanno, e avrei fatto incetta di prodotti da portarmi dietro se non avessi gi? superato il limite di bagaglio consentito (le politiche aeree sono delle guastafeste!). La mia amica Barbara mi aveva gi? regalato una bellissima crema corpo quest?estate, la Japanese Cherry Blossom, che ha un odore divino di fiori di ciliegio, ma ? solo entrando in uno degli store monomarca che si ha una vera e propria rivelazione tipo San Paolo sulla via di Damasco! Ci sono oltre cinquanta, e dico CINQUANTA fragranze diverse tra cui scegliere: da quelle dolci a quelle speziate, dalle pi? fresce e particolari (come Limoncello) a quelle pi? fiorite e femminili. ? davvero impossibile non trovarne una che non piaccia! Io ho scelto per me Honeysuckle Amore che ha il profumo fresco e fruttato di pesche e madreselva rosa. La cosa che mi piacedi pi? di queste creme e che si assorbono in un amen, ma allo stesso tempo sono molto idratanti e vellutate perch? contengono burro di karit? ed olio di jojoba, oltre che a diverse vitamine e propriet? a seconda del tipo che si sceglie.?
Le profumazioni sono delicate e persistenti, non affatto fastidiose sulla pelle, e la catena offre spesso sconti e offerte super convenienti tipo 3 x 2, quindi se avete la possibilit? di provare articoli di questa linea, ve li consiglio tutti caldamente perch? mi sembrano davvero fantastici, e non ? escluso che presto faccia un mega ordine dal loro sito! :D?

Back to basics. In America I took the opportunity to purchase again the original BeautyBlender?-?replacing the previous one which was now definitely good for retirement. This year I tried a few alternatives available on the market, such as the Sephora?one (of which I spoke here) and that of UBU?s (here), but I have to admit that the original one is quite different from anyone else. This sponge has a very lighter and softer consistency to the skin than the others, and blends the product very easily onto the face. Unfortunately, I find that they are also very delicate and must handle with care, because the first that I bought broke in half while I was trying to wash it.?

I love the BeautyBlender and I must say that it completely changes the way you wear makeup: I like to use it after applying foundation with a brush, to buffer the excess and give the face a very natural and luminous finish, but you can also use it to apply concealer, blush and even powder. It is a product that I really cannot do without, and if you’ve never tried I suggest you do so as soon as possible: you will totally see a difference in your makeup!
Ritorno alle origini. In America ne ho approfittato per ricomprare la BeautyBlender originale, in sostituzione a quella precedente che ormai era decisamente pensionabile. Quest?anno avevo provato alcune alternative disponibile sul mercato, come quella di Sephora (di cui vi ho parlato qui)e quella di UBU (qui), ma devo ammettere che tornare all?originale fa capire la differenza. Questa spugna ha una consistenza molto pi? leggera ed ?impalpabile? sulla pelle rispetto alle altre, e sfuma in maniera estremamente pi? facile il prodotto sul viso. Trovo per? che siano anche molto pi? delicate e bisogna maneggiarle con cura, infatti la prima che comprai si ruppe a met? mentre cercavo di lavarla.?

Io adoro la BeautyBlender e devo dire che cambia completamente il modo di truccarsi: a me piace utilizzarla dopo aver steso il fondotinta con il pennello, per tamponare l?eccesso e donare al viso un finish naturalissimo e luminoso, ma potete utilizzarla per applicare direttamente fondi, correttori, blush e persino la cipria. ? un prodotto che non potrebbe mai mancare nel mio beauty case, e se non l?avete mai provata vi suggerisco di farlo appena possibile: vedrete la differenza nel vostro makeup!

PRO LONGWEAR CONCEALER ? CORRETTORE FLUIDO

Since MACopened its store in Salerno, I confess that I?m often in the store and finding myself buying a lot more stuff from their line. This summer I finally bought the famous Pro Longwear concealer , and I wonder why I waited so long since it is actually one of the best I’ve ever tried: it blends and diffuses beautifully on the skin, it looks very brightening and natural under the eyes , it provides full coverage and the under eye area looks relaxed and rested. It is also very long lasting too: the claim promises 15 hours, and though I have not tested it that long I can say it lasts on me throughout the day with no creasing. It also has an sweet, unusual scent – which reminds me of trifle. Definitely one of my top products of all time, I?ll definitely buy it again once I have finished this one!
Da quando MAC ha aperto il suo punto vendita a Salerno, ammetto di bazzicare molto spesso nel loro negozio e di provare e riscoprire i prodotti della linea. Quest?estate ho finalmente comprato il famosissimo correttore Pro Longwear, e mi chiedo perch? ho aspettato cos? tanto, visto che ? effettivamente uno dei migliori che abbia mai provato: si stende benissimo, ha un effetto molto luminoso e naturale sotto gli occhi, una coprenza piena che conferisce allo sguardo un effetto disteso e riposato ed una tenuta eccezionale(il claim promette 15 ore, io non l?ho testato cos? a lungo ma mi dura tranquillamente tutta la giornata). Inoltre ha un profumo insolito, che mi ricorda tantissimo la zuppa inglese. Decisamente tra i miei top di sempre, penso che lo ricomprer? appena finito!

NAIL POLISH IN ?GINGERBREAD??

I don?t talk about nail polishes very much (why then when I love them?) but this month I had to include the Color Club in Gingerbread -?which is part of the Holiday 2011 collection.?
It is the nail polish that I wore during New York Fashion Weekand you have seen in all my looks (if you missed them, you can watch them here, here, here and here):?it is a beautiful shade of gold with tiny multicolor and holographic glitters, such an unique color that really goes with everything! Sadly, I do not have it physically with me because I got it put on in the salon where I did the manicure (definitely an experience to try in America, because beauty salons are great there!) and I found it?on Amazonbut unfortunately they won?t ship to Italy! Boo! 🙁 As soon as I find it I will buy it straight off (and here I appeal to Color Club to put it back on the market because I love it so much, pleeeease!)?

Non parlo quasi mai di smalti (perch? poi, visto che li amo?) ma questo mese non poteva mancare una menzione speciale al Color Club nel colore Gingerbread, che fa parte di una limited edition di Natale 2011.
? lo smalto che ho indossato durante la Fashion Week e che avete visto in tutti i miei look (se ve li siete persi, potete guardarli qui, qui, qui e qui): si tratta di un bellissimo punto di oro scuro con piccolissimi glitter multicolor olografici, un colore davvero particolare ed unico e che sta bene praticamente con tutto!?
Purtroppo non ce l?ho fisicamente, me l?hanno messo al salone dove ho fatto la manicure (un?esperienza decisamente da provare in America, perch? i centri estetici sono fantastici!) e l?ho trovato su Amazon ma purtroppo non spediscono in Italia! 🙁 A me?? durato quasi 8 giorni senza scheggiarsi, non so se merito della manicuriste bravissima, dello smalto in s? o del top coat utilizzato, ma il colore mi piace davvero troppo e appena lo trover? lo acquister? senza pensarci due volte (e qui lancio un appello a Color Club di rimetterlo sul mercato cos? che possiamo farne incetta tutti quanti! :D)?

ACQUA MICELLARE FRESH PER PELLI MISTE O GRASSE

The product I want to talk about this month is the Garnier Acqua Micellare Fresh, the one with the green packaging. If you?ve been following me for enough time, you will know that micellar water is the only method I use to remove my makeup from a year now, and I’m trying all kinds and all brands so that I can soon write down a comparison blog post about them!
Of all the ones I’ve tried this is definitely one of my favorites, because it removes makeup very easily and does not irritate the eyes nor leaves any annoying residue on your face (I don?t even rinse it off). I find it to be a little tiny bit less effective than the L’Oreal one (I talked about it here), but honestly it more convenient since it costs half of the price and contains the double of the product.?

I am currently using the version for sensitive skin (in the pink bottle) but I can already tell you that sometimes it irritates my eyes, and in general I like the Fresh one a much better and it’s one that I would recommend .

Ultimo prodotto di cui voglio parlarvi questo mese ? l?Acqua Micellare Fresh di Garnier, quella nella confezione verde. Se mi seguite da un po? di tempo sapete che l?acqua micellare ? l?unico metodo che utilizzo per struccarmi da un anno a questa parte, e ne sto provando di tutti i tipi (oggi ho acquistato quella di Neutro Roberts, e presto vi prometto che pubblicher? il post su tutte le acque micellari a confronto!).

Tra tutte quelle che ho messo alla prova, questa ? sicuramente una delle mie preferite, perch? strucca in maniera estremamente facile, non brucia gli occhi e non lascia residui fastidiosi sul viso, tanto che pu? anche non essere risciacquata. Come prodotto la trovo un filino meno performante di quella di L?Or?al (di cui vi ho parlato qui), ma sinceramente il rapporto qualit?/prezzo ? ottimo perch? costa il doppio e contiene la met? del prodotto.

In questo periodo sto usando la versione per pelli sensibili (nella confezione rosa) ma posso gi? dirvi che ogni tanto mi crea un po? di irritazione agli occhi, e in generale la Fresh mi piace molto di pi? ed ? quella che mi sento di consigliarvi.

Perci? eccomi qui a prenedere appunti: acqua micellare (provo questa di Garnier in quanto anche io ho la pelle mista come la tua) e il correttore di Mac. Dici che ? molto coprente e a lunga durata…a me ci vorrebbe un miracolo per togliere le occhiaie per? lo provo. Poi ti dir? come mi trovo. Spero bene, ho provato un altro sempre di Mac un po di tempo fa ma non mi era piaciuto molto.
